COURSE OVERVIEW

To optimize outcomes with dermal fillers, healthcare professionals require training regarding injection of all dermal fillers. Of particular concern, the use of blunt tip microcannulas for injection of dermal fillers requires advanced injector skill.

This course includes a combination of live, hands-on and on-demand activities that provide foundational knowledge regarding the indications for the use of microcannulas for dermal filler injections including benefits, risks, indications and contraindications of microcannulas including a demonstration of injection techniques for microcannulas. The hands-on course offers training regarding dermal filler injections via cannulas, including knowledge about the anatomy and various techniques to facilitate expertise in providing these procedures.

TARGET AUDIENCE AND PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS

This course is designed for medical professionals holding an active and unrestricted license having previously completed an introductory class in dermal fillers and 6 months of injecting experience.


OBJECTIVES

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Examine the difference between injections with straight needles versus a cannula
  • Discuss indications for the use of cannulas
  • Explain how to safely integrate the techniques into aesthetic treatment
  • Review facial anatomy and vasculature to increase patient safety and minimize treatment complications
  • Explore the properties of cannulas
  • Examine the criteria to choose the most appropriate device based on the desired product and patient outcomes
  • Compare the benefits and risks of using a cannula

4 Hours On-Location

A combination of didactic presentation and a 2:1 student-to-educator ratio hands-on practicum offers a unique learning environment to expand the learner’s knowledge base.


TUITION

Your tuition of $1200 includes all course materials and a certificate of completion from the Aesthetic Mentor.

CANCELLATION POLICY

On-Demand Training: Course tuition is non-refundable once the training has been accessed. Once on-demand training has begun, you have agreed to complete the on-demand and on-location course, in its entirety. No partial refunds will be considered.

On-Location Training: No refunds or changes will be honored within 7 days of the scheduled course or clinic date. No exceptions.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests within 8-10 days of the scheduled course or clinic date will result in a 10% cancellation fee.

COVID-19: High-standard COVID safety and health measures are taken for all on-location events. If you or a household member are exposed to COVID or exhibiting any symptoms, please contact us to discuss rescheduling.

Incomplete training, no-shows, or early leave will result in an automatic forfeit of tuition. CME/CE certificates will not be issued for partial or incomplete training.

Although unlikely, scheduled course or clinic dates are subject to cancellation or change based on required minimums or limitations.
