Our curriculum is led by Board-certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Joseph Russo and taught by his team of clinical experts and instructors. Aesthetic Mentor trains licensed medical professionals such as an LPN, RN, NP, CRNA, MD, DO, PA and DDS. Licensed estheticians are eligible to take some classes too, as noted in the class description. You must hold an ACTIVE MEDICAL LICENSE in order to participate in injectables courses. Please have your license number ready to submit for verification.

Hands-on participation in the training is based upon the Board regulations of the facility’s state and eligibility may vary. Review the event information prior to registering, and feel free to ask one of our Student Advisor’s for assistance.

No, you only require an active license to train. Aesthetic Mentor’s training facilities have supervising physicians and authorized prescribers who use a proprietary EMR software system for charting and compliance. Your instructor will ensure proper charting and orders are occurring and delegate treatment plans to you. All training models are considered patients of the supervising physician.

Please note: LPN, RN, NP, CRNA, and PA licensed professionals require supervision as dictated by the regulations of your state Board in order to treat patients once your certification is complete. Cosmetic and aesthetic medical treatments must follow medical laws and protocols.

The majority of our courses are hybrid - combining online didactic learning with in-person hands-on practicum.

On-location courses are hosted at one of our two locations:

Boston, MA
303 Wyman Street, Suite 150
Waltham, MA 02451

Hartford, CT
95 Glastonbury Boulevard. 3rd Floor, Suite 303
Glastonbury, CT 06033

Class type and location are noted in the class description. On-demand and online portions MUST be completed prior to attending your on-location clinic training.

See our Course Calendar pages for location information!

Yes, clinic size is limited to maintain our 2:1 student to instructor ratio for an intimate learning experience.

All hands-on will be performed on models under the supervision and coaching of a certified Instructor. Models are provided for each course. If you know someone that is interested in being a patient model, please refer them to us. Consider your first model a lifelong patient!

The didactic portion of most courses is completed through our online learning platform. Online courses are broken up into short, easy to follow modules. You can work on the on-demand training on your own schedule, but each class has a completion deadline to keep you on track. The progress of your on-demand course is recorded. Once completed, you can return to any module for reference.

You should participate in the coordinating hands-on clinic portion of your course within a short period of time, waiting no more than 2-4 weeks, while the information is fresh in your mind.

Live courses/clinics are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Since these fill well in advance and models need to be arranged, it is advised to secure your spot as soon as possible. You will be able to pick your clinic date when registering. If your course has an on-demand component, this MUST be completed to attend your clinic. We cannot allow any student who has not completed on-demand didactic to attend a clinic, and the cancellation policy will apply.

Information and instructions on how to receive your credits will be sent to you for each CME qualifying course. Courses must be completed in order to receive credits. Contact cme@theaestheticmentor.com for more information.
