Introduction to Neurotoxins is designed for medical professionals holding an active and unrestricted medical license in their field of practice. No previous experience in medical aesthetics is required.
“Introduction to Neurotoxins” is a foundational course designed for medical professionals holding an active and unrestricted license in their field of practice.
No previous experience in medical aesthetics is required.
Founded in 2011 by Harvard-trained, board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Joseph A. Russo, Aesthetic Mentor has successfully trained over 3,000 medical professionals over the past 10 years. Our mission is to cultivate safe, successful medical aesthetic providers with industry-leading hands-on training and post-certification career development.
When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for your advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
Dr. Russo and his team of expert mentors will guide you through a blend of didactic and hands-on neurotoxin training, beginning in our virtual classroom of on-demand curriculum. This is followed by hands-on injectable training in a clinical environment where you will treat a minimum of 4 models. Our 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving you the support and confidence you need to begin treating patients right away.
Neurotoxins are purified forms of botulinum toxin A marketed commercially under the brand names; Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, and Jeuveau®. Since Botox received its first FDA-approval for cosmetic use in 2002, neurotoxins have revolutionized the way society approaches aesthetic treatments and aging. Neurotoxin is not only the most sought-after injectable treatment but also the gateway to all other injectable skills.
The aesthetic market is booming, and the demand for aesthetic nurses and injectors has never been greater. The national average salary for an aesthetic nurse is around $90,000, with the capability of earning double or triple that depending on your experience. Compared to hospital work, many nurses find the private practice setting more conducive to establishing a greater work/life balance.
Neurotoxins yield compelling results and high levels of patient satisfaction without the expense and long recovery times associated with traditional plastic surgery.
If you are a healthcare provider frustrated with diminishing insurance reimbursements, or you’re a nurse seeking personal and financial freedom, adding aesthetic treatments to your practice can provide powerful revenue streams.
The educational design of this activity addresses the needs of physicians, physicians’ assistants, dentists, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.
“Introduction to Neurotoxins” provides the foundational skills needed for our other injectable classes. Upon completion of “Introduction to Neurotoxins”, students can attend additional hands-on training and advance on to “Introduction to Dermal Fillers”.
A combination of on-demand didactic and a clinical practicum offers a unique learning environment to quickly expand the learner’s knowledge base.
