This is where your injectables education starts. Intro to Neurotoxins is Aesthetic Mentor’s accredited foundational course for medical professionals interested in learning the art of cosmetic neurotoxin injections because neurotoxin is not only the most sought after injectable treatment but also the gateway to all other injectable skills.
Intro to Neurotoxins at Aesthetic Mentor is a 12 hour-long, CME accredited course led by Dr. Joseph A. Russo, a Harvard trained, board-certified Plastic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Russo and his team of expert mentors will guide you through a blend of didactic and hands-on neurotoxin training that begins in our virtual classroom where you will be educated on the most up-to-date information with a strong emphasis on anatomy and safety. This is followed by an 8 hour hands-on training in a clinical environment. Our 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving you the support and confidence you need to begin treating patients right away.
Neurotoxins are purified forms of botulinum toxin A marketed commercially under the brand names; Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®. Since Botox received its first FDA-approval for cosmetic use in 2002, neurotoxins have revolutionized the way society approaches aesthetic treatments and aging. Neurotoxins yield compelling results and high levels of patient satisfaction without the expense and long recovery times associated with traditional plastic surgery. If you are a healthcare provider frustrated with diminishing insurance reimbursements, or you’re a nurse seeking personal and financial freedom, adding aesthetic treatments to your practice can provide powerful revenue streams.
Intro to Neurotoxins provides the foundational skills needed for our other injectable classes. Upon completion of Intro to Neurotoxins, students can take advantage of Practice Clinics and advance on to Intro to Dermal Fillers. Our student advisors are available to direct you along your learning path and will be with you every step of the way as you pursue an exciting new career in aesthetic medicine.
When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for your advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including; compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
Introduction to Neurotoxins is designed for medical professionals (RN, NP, PA, MD, DDS) holding an active and unrestricted license in their field of practice. No previous experience in medical aesthetics is required. Please review the state regulations of our facilities to find the best location for your hands-on training.
Upon completion of this course, participants are able to recognize the mechanism of action of neurotoxins, differentiate between the products currently available in the United States, recognize the facial muscles most often injected with neurotoxins and the techniques required for the safe injections and ideal patient outcome.
