Contouring with Deoxycholic Acid (Kybella®) at Aesthetic Mentor is an elective course for medical professionals interested in learning the safe and effective injection of Kybella®→ (deoxycholic acid), for the reduction of fat in the submental (double chin) area.
No previous experience in medical aesthetics is required.
Founded in 2011 by Harvard-trained, board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Joseph A. Russo, Aesthetic Mentor has successfully trained over 3,000 medical professionals over the past 10 years. Our mission is to cultivate safe, successful medical aesthetic providers with industry-leading hands-on training and post-certification career development.
When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for your advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
Dr. Russo and his team of expert mentors will guide you through a blend of didactic and hands-on training, beginning in our virtual classroom of on-demand curriculum. This is followed by hands-on injectable training in a clinical environment where you will treat a minimum of 1-2 models. All models will be provided. Our 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving you the support and confidence you need to begin treating patients right away.
The deoxycholic acid in Kybella® is a naturally occurring substance found in the human body that breaks down dietary fats. When administered via multiple subcutaneous injections, Kybella begins working instantly to break down fat cells and its proprietary formula continues to prevent future fat cells from forming in the treatment area.
The aesthetic market is booming, and the demand for aesthetic nurses and injectors has never been greater. The national average salary for an aesthetic nurse is around $90,000, with the capability of earning double or triple that depending on your experience. Compared to hospital work, many nurses find the private practice setting more conducive to establishing a greater work/life balance.
Integrating Kybella® treatments into aesthetic business can benefit both existing patients and a practice's success.
If you are a healthcare provider frustrated with diminishing insurance reimbursements, or you're a nurse seeking personal and financial freedom, adding aesthetic treatments to your practice can provide powerful revenue streams.
My instructors made me feel so comfortable and helped walk me through every step. Dr. Russo used his own experiences to help train us which was so helpful.
