Contouring With Kybella Course Overview

Kybella at Aesthetic Mentor is an elective course for medical professionals interested in learning the safe and effective injection of Kybella® (deoxycholic acid), for the reduction of fat in the submental (double chin) area. Integrating Kybella treatments into aesthetic business can benefit both existing patients and a practice’s success.

The deoxycholic acid in Kybella is a naturally occurring substance found in the human body that breaks down dietary fats. When administered via multiple subcutaneous injections, Kybella begins working instantly to break down fat cells and its proprietary formula continues to prevent future fat cells from forming in the treatment area.

Kybella is an 3 hour-long course led by Dr. Joseph A. Russo, a Harvard trained, board-certified Plastic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Russo and his team of expert mentors will guide you through a blend of didactic and hands-on Kybella training, beginning in our classroom, with a comprehensive look at anatomy, treatment protocols, and safety. This is followed by hands-on Kybella training in a clinical environment. Our 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving you the support and confidence you need to begin treating patients right away.

Upon completion of Kybella, students can continue to develop their skills by enrolling in Injectable Face Sculpting or our other Elective course offerings. Our student advisors are always available to direct you along your learning path and answer any questions you may have. When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including; compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
