Introduction to Dermal Fillers at Aesthetic Mentor is a CME accredited course for medical professionals interested in learning the foundational skills for safe and effective dermal filler treatments.
Injectable fillers have become a popular fixture in the cosmetic treatment landscape in recent years. Depending on the formulation used, facial fillers are temporary to long-lasting solutions for cosmetic lip enhancement, facial volume loss, correction of age related static wrinkles and scars. Some of the most popular dermal fillers available in the United States are marketed under the names Juvéderm, Restylane, and Belotero.
If you are a healthcare provider seeking a career change, or perhaps you are frustrated with diminishing insurance reimbursements, adding aesthetic injectable treatments to your practice can provide powerful revenue streams paired with high patient satisfaction rates.
Introduction to Dermal Fillers is an 12 hour-long course led by Dr. Joseph A. Russo, a Harvard trained, board-certified Plastic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Russo and his team of expert mentors will guide you through a blend of didactic and hands-on dermal filler training, beginning in our virtual classroom, with a comprehensive look at available dermal fillers, anatomy, treatment protocols, and safety. This is followed by hands-on injectable training in a clinical environment. Our 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving you the support and confidence you need to begin treating patients right away.
Upon completion of Introduction to Dermal Fillers, students can continue to develop their skills by advancing to our Intermediate class offerings. Our student advisors are always available to direct you along your learning path and answer any questions you may have.
When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including; compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
Introduction to Dermal Fillers is designed for medical professionals (RN, NP, PA, MD, DDS) holding an active and unrestricted license in their field of practice. Completion of Introduction of Neurotoxins or an equivalent class or demonstration of comparable professional experience is required.
Upon completion of this course, participants are able to identify anatomical landmarks for safe injection of dermal fillers, become familiar with the array of hyaluronic acid (HA) and non-HA fillers available in the United States, learn techniques to optimize safety for mid-face and lip injections with dermal fillers, manage adverse events and practice basic techniques with a variety of HA fillers.
