COURSE OVERVIEW

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive, anti-aging treatment that can improve the appearance of the skin from common aesthetic flaws such as an imbalanced texture, fine lines, and enlarged pores to excessive peach fuzz, and dull tone. This renowned treatment has been practiced in medical aesthetics for years and does not require needles or anesthesia resulting in zero downtime for your client. This treatment utilizes a specialized blade that instantly alleviates the skin from debris, dead skin cells, and bothersome peach fuzz. Through this process of exfoliation, your patients will not only rejoice with smoother skin but can benefit from an easier, smoother makeup application and more efficient absorption of skincare products. PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS

Massachusetts Location: The educational design of this activity addresses medical professionals, and estheticians, holding an active and unrestricted medical license in their field of practice. No previous experience in medical aesthetics is required.

OBJECTIVES

Discuss the benefits of dermaplaning, required materials, and indications for treatment.
Demonstrate proper techniques for dermaplaning and peel application.
Review the contraindications for both services (dermaplaning and peels).
Review active ingredients and acids in chemical peels, allowing for proper peel selection.
Describe the side effects, adverse reactions, and treatments related to dermaplaning and chemical peels.
Summarize pricing and bundling of services and skincare products.
Perform patient assessment, treatment, and post-care in a supervised practice session.

COURSE LENGTH

4 Hours On-Location

A combination of didactic presentation and a 4:1 student-to-educator ratio hands-on practicum offers a unique learning environment to expand the learner’s knowledge base.

AESTHETIC MENTOR CANCELLATION POLICY

On-Demand Training:
Course tuition is non-refundable once the training has been accessed. Once on-demand training has begun, you have agreed to complete the on-demand and on-location course in its entirety. No partial refunds will be considered.

On-Location Training:
No refunds or changes will be honored within 7 days of the scheduled course or clinic date. No exceptions.

Cancellation or rescheduling requests within 8-10 days of the scheduled course or clinic date will result in a 10% cancellation fee.

COVID-19:
High-standard COVID safety and health measures are taken for all on-location events. If you or a household member are exposed to COVID or exhibiting any symptoms, please contact us at 339.674.1134 to discuss rescheduling.

Incomplete training, no-shows, or early leave will result in an automatic forfeit of tuition. CME certificates will not be issued for partial or incomplete training.

Although unlikely, scheduled course or clinic dates are subject to cancellation or change based on required minimums or limitations.
