| What Are the Eligibility Requirements for Your Courses?
Aesthetic Mentor™ is dedicated to training licensed medical professionals, including LPNs, RNs, NPs, CRNAs, MDs, DOs, PAs, and DDSs. For injectables courses, it is mandatory to hold an active medical license in the state you are participating in, and we will require your license number for verification upon registration.
Please note: Hands-on training participation at our Boston medical aesthetics training facilities is subject to the specific board regulations of Massachusetts, and eligibility may vary. Kindly review the event information carefully before registering. For more detailed information regarding our Boston medical aesthetics training, our Student Advisors are ready to answer any questions you have. Call us today!
| Is a Medical Director Required for Training Participation?
No, possessing an active medical license is sufficient for participating in our training. Our Boston medical aesthetics training facilities at Aesthetic Mentor™ operate under the supervision of qualified physicians and authorized prescribers. They utilize a proprietary EMR software system to ensure meticulous charting and regulatory compliance. Your instructor will meticulously oversee proper charting and treatment orders, delegating treatment plans to you. All training models are considered patients of the supervising physician.
Important Note: Licensed professionals including LPNs, RNs, NPs, CRNAs, and PAs are required to operate under supervision, as stipulated by your state Board's regulations, once your certification is complete and you begin treating patients. All cosmetic and aesthetic medical treatments must strictly adhere to prevailing medical laws and protocols.
| Where are the classes held?
Most courses are hybrid, combining online didactic modules with in-person, hands-on practicum sessions.
On-location courses are hosted at one of our two locations:
Boston, MA
303 Wyman Street, Suite 150, Waltham, MA 02451
Hartford, CT
36 Main Street, Suite #2, East Hartford, CT, 06118
Class type and location are noted in the class description. On-demand and online portions MUST be completed prior to attending your on-location clinic training.
See our Course Calendar pages for location information!
| Is the clinic size limited?
Yes. Clinic size is intentionally limited to maintain a 2:1 student-to-instructor ratio, ensuring an intimate, high-quality learning experience.
| Will I need to bring a model for training?
All hands-on training is performed on models under the supervision of a certified Instructor.
For the strongest educational experience, we encourage you to bring a model you know so you can follow their treatment results over time. If a course requires you to bring a model, their treatment is included in your tuition—consider them your first lifelong patient!
Each course description outlines model requirements, and follow-up emails will include model selection criteria to help you choose the most appropriate model for your training.
| How does the on-demand training work?
Most courses begin with online didactic learning through our on-demand platform. Content is divided into short, easy-to-follow modules that you can complete on your own schedule, within a 2–4 week deadline to keep you on track.
Your progress is recorded, and once completed, you may revisit any module.
Some modules include short, unscored quizzes. A final exam at the end of the on-demand course determines whether you're ready to proceed; you have up to two attempts to pass.
You should complete the coordinating hands-on clinic within 2–4 weeks after finishing the online content for best retention.
| How does a live class or clinic work?
Live courses and clinics are filled on a first-come, first-served basis and often sell out well in advance. Because models must be arranged, we recommend securing your spot as early as possible.
You will select your clinic date during registration.
If your course has an on-demand prerequisite, it must be fully completed before attending your clinic. Students who do not complete the on-demand didactic will not be allowed to participate, and the cancellation policy will still apply.
| What is your cancellation policy?
