Introduction to Injectables is Aesthetic Mentor’s accredited foundational course for medical professionals interested in learning the skills to become successful in the art of cosmetic injectables. Intro to Injectables combines three of our most popular injectable courses: Introduction to Neurotoxins, Introduction to Dermal Fillers, and Applied Anatomy to provide comprehensive foundational skills for safe and effective injectable treatments.
Introduction to Injectables is a 32 hour long, CME accredited course led by Dr. Joseph A. Russo, a Harvard trained, board-certified Plastic Surgeon with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Russo and his team of expert mentors will guide you through a blend of didactic and hands-on neurotoxin and dermal filler training that begins in our virtual classroom where you will be educated on the most up-to-date information with a strong emphasis on anatomy and safety. This is followed by an extensive hands-on training in a clinical environment. Our 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving the support and confidence you need to begin treating patients right away.
Neurotoxins are purified forms of botulinum toxin A marketed commercially under the brand names; Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Jeuveau. Since Botox received its first FDA-approval for cosmetic use in 2002, neurotoxins have revolutionized the way society approaches aesthetic treatments and aging. Neurotoxins yield compelling results and high levels of patient satisfaction without the expense and long recovery times associated with traditional plastic surgery.
Injectable fillers have become a popular fixture in the cosmetic treatment landscape in recent years. Depending on the formulation used, facial fillers are temporary to long-lasting solutions for cosmetic lip enhancement, facial volume loss, correction of age-related static wrinkles and scars. Some of the most popular dermal fillers available in the United States are marketed under the names Juvéderm, Restylane, Belotero, Radiesse, and Sculptra.
Upon completion of Introduction to Injectables, students can take advantage of Practice Clinics and one-on-one private sessions to further enhance their skills and confidence. Training can also be continued by attending our Advanced or Elective course offerings. Our student advisors are available to direct you along your learning path and will be with you every step of the way as you pursue an exciting new career in aesthetic medicine.
When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for your advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
Dr. Russo is amazing. The class was small and intimate, which made for a better learning experience. During the hands-on portion, the instructors were extremely knowledgeable but friendly and laid back. Which again, made for better learning. I loved everything about the course. Worth every penny. Thank you!
