PRP Therapies Course Overview

PRP Therapies is a comprehensive course for medical professionals, teaching the skills for hair restoration and facial rejuvenation using the topical or injectable application of PRP or PRFM therapies.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is one of the most in-demand services in medical aesthetics today. PRP is produced when plasma, a component of blood with unique proteins that stimulate and increase the number of reparative cells of the body, is concentrated by centrifugation and applied topically or injected. Our PRP Therapies course covers the preparation of both PRP and the superior Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM), providing students with a strong portfolio of skills for both patient and financial benefit.

Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) is an advanced extraction technique that removes all contaminating cells from PRP and converts them to PRFM through a controlled process. PRFM maintains the platelets at the treatment site so the release of growth factors can be sustained over a longer period of time than traditional PRP systems, resulting in powerful hair and facial restoration results.

PRP stands out from other aesthetic solutions as it stimulates collagen production for total facial rejuvenation rather than individual wrinkle improvement. Our PRP Therapies course covers Collagen Induction Therapy – the topical application of PRP/PRFM with a hand-held device. This technique is a great compliment to other medical aesthetic procedures, such as microneedling or lasers, as it boosts patient healing times and further enhances rejuvenation results. Advanced injection techniques for facial revolumization in areas hyaluronic acid filler cannot always reach or be safely injected, including the treatment of under-eye hollows, poor skin texture, hollow cheeks, and general lack of facial skin tone will also be covered.

In addition to facial rejuvenation techniques, PRP Therapies provides the education and hands-on skills for the injection of PRP/PRFM for hair rejuvenation in both men and women. The growth factors found in PRP/PRFM stimulate new hair growth in balding or thinning areas of the scalp, making it a fantastic minimally invasive option to add to your aesthetic practice.

PRP Therapies includes a comprehensive and interactive lecture, followed by a hands-on clinical practicum session giving students the opportunity to practice learned skills and techniques. Aesthetic Mentor’s 2:1 student-to-educator ratio provides an unsurpassed learning experience, giving students the support and confidence needed to begin treating patients right away.

Upon completion of PRP Therapies, students can continue to develop their skills by advancing to our Intermediate, Advanced and Elective class offerings. Our student advisors are always available to direct you along your learning path and answer any questions you may have.

When you choose Aesthetic Mentor for advanced training in aesthetic medicine, our investment in you continues far beyond the classroom, with ongoing support resources including; compliance, safety, continuing education, employment assistance, business development leadership, and access to professional and patient marketing tools.
